DTN Closing Grain Comments 10/03 13:54
US Crop Prices Survive Bearish Outside Influence With Mixed Closes

December corn closed down 1 1/4 cents and November soybeans were down 4 1/4
cents, up from earlier lows on a day when most commodity prices succumbed to
the bearish influence of a lower stock market, higher Treasury yields and a
higher U.S. Dollar Index. All three U.S. wheats ended higher, in spite of
Tuesday's outside influences.
